The Roddams

Dr. John Roddam

Dr. John Roddam was born and grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada. After graduating with honours from Pictou Academy, he attended Acadia University in Wolfville, NS where he earned a B.Sc., majoring in Chemistry. John’s conversion came in 1978 and he immediately felt a call to ministry. After earning an M.Div. from Acadia Divinity College, John studied at SCUPE (Seminary Consortium for Urban Pastoral Education) in Chicago. He later received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA. (1997)

John served in 4 parishes in Nova Scotia (1983 to 1994) where he ministered in rural, town and urban settings. The Roddams moved to the West Coast in 1994 where John served at St. David’s, Tsawwassen in Greater Vancouver, BC (1994-2000). From 2000 to 2010, John and Holly served at St. Luke’s, Seattle, the Mother Church of the Charismatic Renewal Movement.

In 2011, John & Holly moved back to Maritime (Eastern) Canada. John began mentoring church leaders, church planters, and marketplace leaders. He also began convening regional meetings of leaders interested in the Five-Fold Ministry. While in the Maritimes, John & Holly spoke at conferences, led retreats, and supported the founding of the Atlantic House of Prayer and the Halifax Healing Rooms.

After exploring a move to the West Coast to be closer to their grown children and four granddaughters, the Roddams felt called to stay on the East Coast to give support to Holly’s Mom, Mary, who was dealing with Alzheimer’s. After Mary’s, death, John was appointed Rector of St. James Anglican Church, Kentville, Nova Scotia in late 2017.

In December 2019, John retired from Parish Ministry and the Roddams returned to the West Coast to be closer to their children and granddaughters. They live in a Retirement Community in Richmond, BC part of Greater Vancouver.

John mentors leaders in Europe, North America and Asia. He is active with several ministries –

She believes that children are never too young to learn about Jesus and the importance of knowing and living for Him. Her books seek to help children understand how to walk out the Christian life from childhood to adulthood.
